Silo filter systems for the mineral wool industry

Two steps to success

Silo filter systems are used to filter out coarse and fine suspended particles in the mineral wool industry. Production-related dust is extracted from the extraction points. In the first step, the coarse suspended particles are separated and fall to the bottom of the silo. Next, the coarsely cleaned raw gas is sucked through the filter cartridges, whereby the fine suspended particles are filtered out. The resulting clean gas can be released into the atmosphere. The filter cartridges are cleaned by compressed air and the fine suspended particles fall to the bottom of the system. The material can be stored here and discharged through a system agreed with the customer. If there is solid material in the extraction air, a further step is added at the beginning to clean the air.
